Petitions and Supplications
NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER SUPPLICATIONS, 3 May 2001
(Revised, 1/2003)
Heavenly Father, hear my prayer:
Create in me a clean heart,
That I might show, from this day hence,
A more excellent way.
Teach me Holy Spirit,
To speak in love, and to do well;
That I might bring forward, after a godly sort,
All who draw near.
As my Creator, and the Author and Finisher of my faith,
I ask you to make my faith to be steadfast,
Believing in your power; recognizing your abilities.
Thanking you for your loving kindness,
Your grace, and infinite mercies:
Believing in your Word, and His many promises.
Then Lord, give me strength,
That I may go boldly through,
Every calamity in this life:
Singing praises to your holy, and righteous name;
Rejoicing in your victory,
For worthy is the Lamb, and He who sent Him;
Worthy is the Comforter, who dwells within me.
Father, cause everything to prosper, that I set my hand to do.
I will shout, with a loud voice, “Hallelujah!”.
And I will sing praises, forevermore.
For it is you, who doth lead me today,
Into everlasting life, and eternity.
Oh, that I might pray unto you, a prayer that avails much!
Father give me, fervent effectual prayers,
Perfected by the Holy Ghost;
Through Christ Jesus, the Great Intercessor,
My Lord and Master, my Savior Devine.
Oh Lord, hear my cry.
AMEN!
